MENTAL HEALTH AND HIV/AIDS

In cooperation with Global Initiative on Psychiatry, a non-governmental organization based in Netherlands, IAN center on mental health and HIV/AIDS published brochures from the series "Mental health and HIV/AIDS".

The content of the brochures covers information and recommendations related to promotion of mental health of PLHIV. Brochures are designed for professionals and paraprofessionals who provide psychosocial support to PLHIV, as well as for persons living with HIV and AIDS, their families, friends and partners.

The brochures have been produced within the project of establishment Expert centers on mental health and HIV/AIDS network in the region of South-Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia. This regional project addresses the overlooked connection between mental health and HIV/AIDS, and aims to promote the development of comprehensive support system in the field of mental health of PLHIV. Center on mental health and HIV in Serbia is the part of this network active under the wing of IAN and carries out diverse set of activities: training programme for mixed groups of participants, research work, advocacy, networking and wide spectrum of other interventions. Brochures and other publications are aimed to address the needs of our cooperatives- change agents, by providing them with up-to date knowledge on psychosocial support for PLHIV.
