PRESS CONFERENCE

On 14 th February 2007 IAN organised a press conference together with on of the co-funding agencies - Microsoft to announce the start of the comprehensive regional project Facilitation of durable solutions for refugees and returnees , its aim and objectives.

The speakers at the press conference were:

•  Ivan Stojilovic , IAN Program Coordinator
•  Ms Esmeralda Hernandez-Aragones, Deputy Head of the EC Delegation in Serbia, Head of Economic and EU Integration section
•  Dejan Cvetkovic, CEO of Microsoft Serbia
•  Silvio Hotaran, regional representative of Microsoft for South and East Europe
•  Dragana Djekanovic, a beneficiary from the previous projects implemented by IAN

 

Ms Hernandez-Aragones, representative of the EC Delegation, talked about the support of the EC to the programs of the civil society sector in Serbia and the SEE region especially programs focusing on refugee return and (re)integration as well as the importance of regional cooperation and the role of the civil society in assistance and development of the communities in the region.

On this occasion Microsoft officially handed over the cheque as a contribution to this project to IAN representative.
