Monitoring of Psychiatric Institutions - Experiences from Lithuania

Within project " Torture Prevention and Rehabilitation Programme" financed by European Commision, in cooperation with Holland organization GIP (Global Iniciativ in Psychiatry) and Ombudsperson office, IAN is organising two day long workshop "Monitoring of Psychiatric Institutions - Experiences from Lithuania". The workshop will take place on 11 and 12 April 2011. at Ombudsperson offices.

The workshop is organized for Ombudsperson office staff, their associates and other human rights protectors. Lecturers are experts for monitoring in mental health institutions and in children institutions from Lithuania and domestic experts.

The workshop goal is transfer of knowledge and experience of experts from Lithuania and empowerment of Ombudsperson for monitoring of psychiatric institutions in Serbia , as well as transfer of skills for dealing with human rights issues.

Working languages are Serbian and English with simultaneous translation available.
