Workshop: ICT for development and telecentres services

EOS Foundation organized a workshop “ ICT for development and telecentres services " in Timisoara between 24 and 26 January 2012. The workshop was organized within the project " Shared Learning and Community Digital Inclusion through telecentre services " support ed by the Fund for an Open Society Serbia .

The workshop was attended by 18 representatives of telecentres from Romania , Serbia , Latvia and Moldova . In this workshop, the participants exchanged ideas and best practices about:

 

  • Improvement of partnerships in the community through information and communication technologies ,
  • Development of new services in telecentres ( e - health, e - government, distance learning, services to farmers ),
  • Specific activities for different categories of users such as young people , unemployed , women, elderly, ethnic minorities .

The workshop was attended by Serbian representatives from IAN Telecentre, Novi Sad Telecentre and Hrtkovci Telecentre.

The following workshop Social entrepreneurship and self-sustainability of telecentres will be organized in Belgrade by IAN Telecentre from 29 February to 2 March. The main topic of the workshop will be : Definition of Social enterprise (SE), Types of social enterprises, Aims of SE, Users of SE, Sustainability of Telecentres and Profitable services

During the workshop the participants from Moldova, Romania, Latvia and Serbia will also have the opportunity to visit several social enterprises in the area of Belgrade .
