At the press conference organized by IAN to commemorate June 26, the UN International Day in Support to Victims of Torture, central topic was a still unfulfilled obligation of the state to establish one or several independent national mechanisms for prevention of torture, accepted by signing the Convention against torture and by ratifying the Optional Protocol to the Convention (OPCAT) back in 2006.
