International conference

Belgrade, 24th and 25th May 2011

A two day conference organised by IAN and Esplai will host guest speakers from civil society organisations, institutions, companies, relevant ministries from Serbia, Spain and other EU countries as well as EC institutions, active in the ensuring access to e-skills and ICT for all citizens.

The conference will address general importance of digital inclusion in today's world of modern technologies and steps and challenges related to digital inclusion for Serbia, as a country preparing for EU accession. It will provide an opportunity for learning about the EU policies and best practices concerning digital inclusion in specific areas for certain target groups and discuss the possibilities of applying some of those in Serbia . The emphasis will be put on the fact that inequality in the use and application of digital technologies is a new driver of social exclusion in the 21st century.
