International Aid Network (IAN), "Medjunarodna Mreza Pomoci", was established on the 9th of October 1997, and is registered as a non-governmental (Civil Society) organisation. The first registration number is 3/1-198/8-1997-07. In accordance with the Law on Associations on 18.03.2010 IAN's data has been harmonised in the Agency for Business Registers in the Register of Associations under the number BU 2570/2010.

Even though, according to the Law on accounting and audit, IAN is not obligated to have annual financial audit, since the year 2003. IAN's policy and practice has been to have a regular annual audit of financial reports done.
Auditing Reports (2009, 2010, 2011) were done by a certified auditing company CONFIDA FINODIT D.O.O. Belgrade, Serbia.

In addition to the annual audit reports, upon donors' requests IAN also performs audits of specific projects.
