STRENGTHENING NATIONAL HIV RESPONSE THROUGH DECENTRALIZATION OF KEY HEALTH SERVICES

04/11/2010

In the beginning of November Ministry of Health - Global fund Project implementation unit announced the results of the open call within the 8th round of the HIV project "Strengthening national HIV response through decentralization of key health services" . IAN International Aid Network was granted with three projects. We got the half of the project " Health workers and HIV - safety measures and good practice in prevention and HIV treatment " . Half of the planned funds will be allocated.for implementation of eight training events for health workers untill june 2011.

Alongside education of health workers, IAN was granted with two other projects, namely:" TOT training of trainers for people living with HIV and AIDS involved in the capacity building initiatives " and " Training on burn-out syndrome prevention ".

We have the reason to feel successful and to continue with our efforts related to the new circle of education for health workers. We are thankful to all of our partner trainers for their support and efforts and we invite them to continue sucessful cooperation. Implementation of four training events is planned by the GF to be held untill the end of 2010, and other half will be due to June 2011. The plan is that each out of eight training team carries out one three day - training according to the accredited plan and program and designed timeline. Training was accredited by the Health Council and hopefully the realization of the training will go even smoother this time.
